“BUILDING” A PIECE (SONG)
Piano players are like house builders. Composers provide the plan or blueprints of the song (musical house). When a house builder builds a house, he/she must first study, or analyze, the plans. As piano players, or performers of the song, we must analyze the song. It seems that a lot of adult students learning to play the piano for the 1st time, are more passionate and dedicated to the art, than younger students. Adult students seem to be more aware of the fun, self-confidence and personal growth that playing brings.
There are a lot of reasons why adults take up piano lessons"
1) Recently widowed or other personal loss
2) "Relief" from "emply nest" syndrome
